" Located in the Prairie region, Saskatchewan covers an impressive 651,900-square-kilometre area, punctuated by more than 100,000 lakes. A third of the territory is under cultivation, producing mainly wheat and canola. The province has over 1 million inhabitants, forming a rich multicultural fabric with roots in Europe, Russia, Scandinavia and Britain.

Made from a range of floral varieties, honey from Saskatchewan is primarily sourced from canola, alfalfa, clover, borage, sainfoin, dandelion, wild flowers and various small fruit trees. These types of plants produce a white, light-tasting honey that is known around the world as an excellent table honey. Summer days are long and hot, which allows bee colonies to produce up to 30 lb. of honey a day.
